However, Bark offers a more efficient solution through its HTTP interface, allowing you to send push notifications to your iPhone with a simple call. The push services provided by Bark are known for their reliability, stability, and privacy.

Bark is designed to minimize battery consumption as its core function relies on the system push service and push extension. This means that the app itself does not need to be running constantly.

One of the standout features of Bark is its commitment to privacy and security. You have the option to run the Bark server on your own server either manually or using Docker. Additionally, you can implement your own server if desired. This ensures that data transmission occurs between your server, Apple APNs, and your device, preventing any leaks in push information. The app itself is compiled and uploaded through Github Action, which guarantees that the version you use is compiled from open-source code without any modifications (verification method provided within the app).

Bark offers support for end-to-end push encryption with custom keys. This ensures that the push content remains confidential during transmission and cannot be accessed or leaked by Bark server or Apple APNs server.

The notification message history saved locally by Bark is also highly secure. When receiving a push, the NotificationServiceExtension extension saves the information locally without passing it through any other devices. The history records are only synchronized through your personal iCloud private library, meaning that any notifications generated by Bark will only remain on your device and in your iCloud.
